Plug-in Electric

This beautiful classic car was originally installed with flooded lead acid battery systems that had be replaced every 2-4 years. The owner installed 32 Voltronix lithium ion phosphate battery systems — 18 in the engine compartment, and 14 in the trunk in two racks originally occupied by the spare tire and gas tank. Since the installation in 2009, the vehicle has increased its range without experiencing a single cell failure.

Porsche 914 Electric Car

In the process of converting this 914 into an all-electric vehicle, the owner used 36 2000AHA Voltronix lithium ion phosphate battery systems. Despite adding a large heat sink with a fan for cooling, the controller still occasionally shot up to 70C. Adding a chill plate to controller and using water cooling proved successful in managing the controller temperature. Now all that’s needed is a small radiator with fan on the computer to keep the controller cool — no need for an automotive-grade radiator to water-cool the controller.

1991 Acura Integra

Is it possible to build an EV capable of seat-of-the-pants performance without sacrificing range — even when the car is driven daily? It is with our lithium ion phosphate battery systems. This 1991 workhorse Acura was installed with a our AC75 conversion kit and 144v lithium ion battery pack with 45 160ah battery systems. The conversion enabled the owner to remove the obsolete internal combustion engine-related equipment.

This iconic vehicle is poised to make an electric comeback, and we are honored to play a role in the return of the cleaner, smarter Delorean. By converting the internal combustion engine to our lithium ion battery systems, Delorean will be creating a sustainable sports car that meets increasingly stringent and complex emissions standards.
